Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Ballon Inflation, Part 1

Though I’ve vowed to never go to the actual parade again if it can be helped, that doesn’t apply to watching the balloons get inflated the night before the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It’s a lot more fun and a heck of a lot less crowded even if this year’s turnout was higher than usual. I wouldn’t be surprised if this year’s attendance - if they keep track of it - was a record number. The surge in attendants can be attributed to a perfect storm of purely independent events - the weather was perfect with clear skies and a temperature in the 50s combined with cancelled Broadway matinees due to the stagehands’ strike brought out a large number of people. As crowded as it was, it was still worth checking out.

The Energizer bunny could use some real juice. Sorry, couldn’t resist cracking a joke there.

All clowns are scary - I don’t care what McDonald’s would have you believe.

Snoopy’s grounded for the moment.

There’s Scooby-Doo!
