The float carrying Giants captains Eli Manning and Michael Strahan, holding the Vince Lombardi trophy, arrives to a large roar from the crowd. Mayor Michael Bloomberg, finally getting to throw a ticker tape parade, is along for the ride while GM Jerry Reese savors the fruits of his labor.

I’ll say it again because it’s still too amazing to believe - your Super Bowl XLII MVP, Eli Manning! No player has ever experienced a fan turnaround of this magnitude in such a short span - only in New York.

No doubt that the fans are happy that Michael Strahan decided not to retire. I’m sure he’s even happier he decided to come back for his 15th season after missing training camp. Will he return to defend the title?

Tom Coughlin’s got his hands on the trophy now. If not for the infinite patience and shrewd wisdom of the Giants front office, he might not have been coaching the team this season. Thankfully, the Giants have never been known to be quick on the trigger finger to fire head coaches. Coughlin made some changes and got the players to believe in him - enjoy the moment, coach.
