A few weekends ago, a bunch of us got together at Applewood Estate and brewed a couple of beers to be ready for this year’s Hunka Hunka.

This is just a sampling of all the equipment needed to brew the beers.

Justin makes one last check of the recipe before getting started.

Gordon gets one of the many available buckets ready for use.

While Gordon fills the pot with water, Justin checks the propane tank to make sure it’s good to go.

Justin lights up the stove…

…and the pot of water is sitting on it, heating its way up to the necessary temperature.

The water, having reached the desired temperature, is poured into the mash tun where grains will be added to it later.

Gordon displays the proper safety accoutrements for this endeavor.
