Planning Conference Call

A few days ago, Aaron, Jeremy, Justin, and myself held a conference call (no, seriously, we did) to flesh out some of the details for this year’s Hunka Hunka.

  • Beers: We have three homebrews that were made back in March. The plan is to keg/bottle the beers in time for the BBQ. As backup, we may end up getting a keg of beer from Halftime again or from other sources. As always, there will be a wide selection of bottles on hand.
  • Food: With the success of last year’s Korean barbecue theme, we’ll stay in Asia, this time migrating south to Cambodia. We’ll have whole chicken, ribs (beef or pork), and skewered beef, all done up Cambodian-style. For the vegetarians or for those who end up with meat coma, we’ll also be grilling some vegetables with the same Cambodian flair as the meat. Again, there will be assorted snack foods available.
  • This is the fifth anniversary of Hunka Hunka so we’re looking for some way to commemorate it. Commemorative t-shirts were mentioned but if you have a better idea, please leave a comment and let us know what you think.
