The weekend of June 7th was the 6th Annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party at Madison Park. As always, the food offerings were good, genuine barbecue - smoky, flavorful, and filling. If it hadn’t been the first day of a heat wave, we might have stayed and had more than two plates of food.
The night before the annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party is when pitmasters around the country arrive and set up shop around Madison Square Park. The first stop was Blackjack BBQ from Charleston, SC - their offering was pork shoulder.
