The experience going to/from Las Vegas with an unexpected itinerary change to layover at LAX on the way home but at least the transcon flight was in Delta Premium where breakfast was served at… 1:15 pm.

No upgrades to First Class on these flights (will have to make do with Comfort+, the horror) but it wouldn’t have made a difference for lounge access anyway as MEX is basically considered domestic for that purpose. No matter, I finally got to have a (mini) bagel from Ess-a-bagel at the Capital One Lounge in JFK on the way out and got to experience a la carte dining at the American Express Centurion Lounge in MEX.

The Delta One experience on DL365, with some incredible early evening sun as we spent an hour taxiing at JFK. This was bookended with some wonderful post-sunset last light as we approached SFO.

I certainly didn’t need to eat and drink this much during my three hours in the Delta One Lounge at JFK… but, why wouldn’t I? So, I did.

Aircraft change moved me onto a flight two hours later than planned but there are worse ways to kill some time than at the D1 Lounge.

Wrapped up my time in London with a stop at the relatively new at the time American Express Centurion Lounge at Heathrow, followed by some great planespotting from my window seat on a Delta A330-900neo.

Two flights in one day - caught a sunrise ahead of YVR-SEA and then caught a sunrise at the end of SEA-JFK.

The First Class experience on the A321neo, the most recent narrowbody configuration in the Delta fleet, on an evening flight from JFK to SEA. Followed up by a flight the very next morning from SEA to YVR.

A wonderful morning and afternoon spent eating and drinking my way through the @delta One Lounge at JFK.

The @delta One Lounge at JFK isn’t a bad place to kill a morning and afternoon.
