Spent the first sunny, absolutely gorgeous morning in San Juan taking a stroll through Castillo San Felipe del Morro.

I may have finally seen the Mets lose a game at Citi Field this season but check out this view I had of it!

Got into Citi Field at 5:40 pm for a game that wouldn’t start for another 90 minutes. What’s a guy to do? Well, if you have access to the Delta SKY360º Club, the game will come but, first, we feast.

Four games over five days in Flushing, watching the Mets beat the Cardinals three times on their way to a four-game sweep, followed by a victory over the Phillies on their way to another sweep, making for a perfect 7-0 homestand.

Drinks and a snack at IYKYK | @iyk.yk.nyc, a relatively new speakeasy cocktail bar in Flushing - a solid, post-food crawl or pre/post-Mets game option for solid cocktails (and beers!).

Dinner at Cozy Royale | @cozyroyalebk, which I had at 5 pm so I could get one of the 10 dry-aged burgers they serve each day.

Opening Week at Citi Field - a time to reacquaint myself with ballpark food and drinks, old and new.

Nothing quite like Mets Opening Day at Citi Field, made all the more better with a 5-0 win where the top four in the order - Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto, Pete Alonso, Brandon Nimmo - all contributed in their two run-scoring rallies.

Took a nostalgia ride on this classic Redbird from Queensboro Plaza to Willets Point-Shea Stadium Mets-Willets Point, ahead of the Mets home opener at Citi Field.

I spent the winter holiday break off from work by running to breweries and taprooms and then undoing all that work by stuffing my face with food and beers.
